Safe access for maintenance of an important Australian icon.
Adelaide City Council invited Correct Safety to conduct a height safety audit of the Adelaide Town Hall. Built in 1886, the Town Hall requires regular maintenance – much of it at heights – to ensure it meets the requirements of its heritage listing.
We enjoyed the challenge of custom designing a system to suit the aged and complex roof structure. Careful planning was required to ensure we achieved the highest safety standards without affecting the street view of the building.
To provide safe maintenance access to this roof area, we installed:
custom designed landings for the back side of the traditional style parapets and the regal clock tower
custom designed lift up panels to enable gutter cleaning
stairs and static lines to steep roof areas
